In this rule "multiple applications" means circumstances where more than one application is made by the same person or where a person applies for more than 100 per cent of the securities on offer to the public for subscription (and excluding any shares available for placing). Where an offer contains both a placing and a public subscription tranche, the shares available to the public for subscription are the initial allocation of shares in the public subscription tranche prior to any transfer between the placing tranche and public subscription tranche.
